Knowing that he was going to be on the road touring when Valentine’s Day rolled around, Joe Diffie tried to make sure he didn’t get in the doghouse with his wife.
“Man, I tried to cover all the bases,” said Diffie in a recent telephone interview on the last day of a three-day gig in Green Bay, Wis. “I left cards, sent flowers and teddy bears and jewelry and everything I could think of.”
