Google unveils its revamped homepage and logo – but blink and you might not spot the difference.

The re-design is the first change to the world’s most viewed website since 2010, and includes a refreshed Google bar at the top of the page.
At first glance the logo does not look dramatically different but it has in fact been subtly reshaped and flattened. As part of the design, the color palette and letter shapes of the Google logo have been refined. The colors are slightly more muted to give a more modern look. The makeover has a practical motivation. This kind of lettering is easier to read when shrunk down as Google is increasingly on mobile and wearable devices.
The homepage sports a smaller range of links in the Google bar. Google products are now accessible under an ‘app launcher’ located at the top right of the home page. Other Google products, including Google Drive Storage, YouTube and the Android app Play Store, are easy to access as users can click on the corresponding icon made up of small tiles.
The move comes just a month after a major restructuring of the company was unveiled. Google is now owned by Alphabet, a holding company
